Today was definitely a Monday. Rainy and gloomy, sure, but Mondays are for doing dumb things. It started out typical. Jenna & I went to the gym, but then when we left, I decided to go to the HEB nearby. I just had a short list of groceries so I planned to be in & out pretty quickly. I was getting Jenna out of the car when the car next to me started going off, as if the panic button on the key fob was pushed. I thought it might be my car, so I pushed the panic button (it started honking–was NOT mine to begin with) and hit the lock button also. I threw the keys back on my purse in the front seat, got Jenna out, and shut her door before getting my purse from the front seat. OOPS. So now Jenna & I are locked out of the car, which contains my purse, cell phone, and obviously keys. The good thing here is that I had already gotten Jenna out, so she wasn’t also locked in the car. The bad thing is that she had a 12 pound diaper that badly needed changing. I went into the store and called my mom. She was able to go by my house to get the extra key and then meet me at the store. The problem? She couldn’t call me if she had any problems, and I couldn’t call her because her cell number is in my cell phone–NOT in my head. Long story short(er), she made it, I got keys, and I was able to pay for my cart of groceries. It’s hard to entertain an almost-2-year-old for an hour in the grocery store, so I am thankful for the balloons with the suckers on them.
So I guess I’m a little dramatic because (other than the headache), the rest of the day was fine. Jenna took a nap! I got documents edited and muffins made, which are pretty good for being so healthy. Carrots, apples, pumpkin puree, applesauce, raisins, walnuts, coconut…yum!
The sun is starting to peek out and I actually have a mom’s night out dinner at the Melting Pot tonight. Monday-turned-Friday. WEEEEEE!
