It’s done. I did it. So sad. Here is Jenna’s hair before:

And after:

I think I liked it better before. Well, at least it’s all the same length now. You can see how it was all short & curly underneath, and long and straighter on top. Hopefully the straight outside part will conform to the curly under side.
Over the weekend, Jay’s parents came. He & his dad put skylights in the living room.

Cute the Hallelujah chorus. I LOVE it. Light, light, light!!!! WEEEEEEEE, I love light. How lucky am I to have such talented (and helpful) family?

Jenna seems to be doing much better. She’s eating more and she hasn’t thrown up for a few nights. We are sooooooo relieved, BUT she has gone a few nights before, and then it starts again. I won’t get too excited yet, but it’s looking good. Praise God!
Jenna is so funny these days. I guess that’s how 2-year-olds are. She repeats so much of what we say. It’s funny to watch her scold Maggie. Maggie has been really bad about taking Jenna’s toys lately. It’s weird because we’ve had her 4 months and she has only just started doing that. Jenna says “No, Maggie!” If Maggie takes one of her toys outside, Jenna runs to get me and says “Mommy! Maggie! Dora doll!” or whatever it is that she stole. And she has been asking for random things. Like “I want watch Dora please” (Awnt watch Dora pease) or “I want pizza” or “I want chicken” if it’s lunchtime. The pizza thing is random because I can count on one hand the number of times we’ve ever had pizza for lunch. She’s definitely got her own personality and her own ideas.
Kids often get attached to a lovey or something that they carry around with them, and Jenna’s rotates. Right now, she has 4 things that she will not leave the house without. I let her take them in the car, but if we go into a store, I only let her take 1. She has her Dora backpack, her Dora doll, a plastic brush that came with it, and a pink bear. I try to get her to keep the doll, the brush, and the bear in the backpack, but she prefers to carry them all separately. I don’t know why she will not let that brush go. I gave it to her with the Dora doll, so in her mind, they cannot be separated. So silly, those 2-year-olds.
Potty training? NOT happening. I don’t want to push that until I know she’s over whatever it is she has right now, but at some point (and hopefully some point soon!) we are going to have to take a few days and focus on that. Any tips?
Oh, and I definitely am going to cut her hair short. It’s going to kill me. I am putting it off, but it looks so awful most of the time. I still haven’t gotten a picture of the weird short underneath hair, but it’s like the half of her hair closest to her neck is short and the half on the outside (if that makes any sense) is long. I don’t understand how that happened, but it happened.
