Tomorrow, I’ll be 37 weeks along. That’s officially full-term. I have been looking forward to that day for a very long time. Not that I think I’ll go into labor this soon, but it’s nice to know that I could at any time now. This will probably be my final belly shot! Funny, because it doesn’t look nearly as big in the picture as it looks most of the time, or as it feels!

Today I had my 37-week appointment, which was supposed to be 36 weeks. Except I didn’t have a 36-week appointment because it fell on New Year’s, and today was the soonest I could get. They did the ultrasound to measure, and make sure she is head down (which she is!). They estimated her current weight at 7 lbs, 6 ozs, which is in the 84th percentile. Big baby! I would be a little concerned, except that those usually aren’t accurate. If it is accurate and if I make it to the due date, she’ll be around 9 pounds, but since I don’t think it’s that accurate and I don’t expect to make it to my due date (positive thinking), I’m not that concerned. I did find out my doctor won’t be in town on my due date, so next week I’ll talk to him about the possibility of inducing. Really don’t want to do that, but I don’t want to go past that date!!!
Anyway, here’s what she looks like on the inside.

Such a cool picture! When Jay & I first saw it on the screen, we had no idea what we were looking at. But once you see it, it’s so clear. It’s her face, on its left side, looking straight at the “camera.” The little mouse pointer is a little below her left eye. They said she was too big to get any other good pics, so the ones of her hands & feet aren’t at all clear.
So now that I have finally realized this is actually going to happen, it’s time to get ready! I get to pack a hospital bag, get out the pack & play for her to sleep in (until she moves out of our room and into the crib), and put in the car seat. Then wait, wait, wait…
